Springing up uses MOBOTIX high resolution cameras. They offer some of the best image quality in web accessible cameras. In order to access the cameras there are a couple of items that need to take place.
- You will need a login account to access the camera in the room that your child is in. Please contact the center.
- You will need to be using Internet Explorer in your computer.
- You will need to install a tool in your browser.
The camera feed technology requires a specific tool called a “Plugin” called MxPEG ActiveX.
The MOBOTIX MxPEG ActiveX Component allows using the MxPEG video stream or recordings generated by MOBOTIX cameras in Internet Explorer on Windows computers.
This plugin should automatically begin to install when you first visit the camera page (see below). You may also click here to access it.
You will need to allow it to install. If you work in an environment where your IT staff might need more information, they can visit the MOBOTIX web site plugin page here: http://www.mobotix.com/eng_US/Support/Software-Downloads/Plugins/MxPEG-ActiveX (They may need to create an account).
Step by step instructions
To begin, you will need to click on the “Web Cam Access” graphic at the bottom of the page.
This will take you to the Cam page and enable the log in section. Use the access credentials provided to you by the center.
Once you successfully log in, you’ll see buttons that link to each room’s cameras. You will only be able to access the camera where your child is.
If it is your first time at the camera page, you will see a prompt at the bottom of the page to install a plugin. You must be using Internet Explorer.
Click the “Install button”. You may get a prompt asking you “Are you sure?” click yes or allow. In a moment you should see the camera feed display. You will need to do this on any machine you access the camera pages from (home, work, laptop etc…).
